Betting and the odds
There are seven different types of bets in Sic Bo:

Dice Face:
in Sic Bo players may bet on a single number and if that number appears on any of the dice the player wins even money. If 2 of the dice show that number the bet is paid off at 2 to 1 and if all 3 of the dice have that number the bet is paid off at 3 to 1. The house edge on this Sic Bo bet is 8%.

Two Faces:
This is betting on 2 dice combination, for example if you bet on a 1 and a 5 and win this bet pays off at 5 to 1 and has a house edge of 17%.

Totals:
a Player can also bet on the total of the dice in Sic Bo. The player can choose from a number from 4 to 17 the payoffs are different on this bet for each number and will be marked on the table for you to see.

Small or Big:
this bet is that the total of the 3 dice will fall in a certain range. A bet on small in Sic Bo means you think the sum of all 3 dice will be between 4 and 10, and a bet on big is between 11 and 17. If you bet on the big or the small and the dice come up a triple, even if the sum is in the area that you have bet on you lose. The odds of winning on a small or big are by far the best bet in the game of Sic Bo. In this area the house only hold a 3% edge in Sic Bo.

Triple:
with the triple bet in Sic Bo you are betting that all 3 of the dice will be a specific number. The payoff for a triple is 150 to 1, but remembers the odds are about 215 to 1 against you. This gives the house a 30% edge on this bet.

Any Triple:
here you are betting that all 3 of the Sic Bo dice will be the same. The payout for this is 24 to 1 but the odds are 35 to 1 again the house has a 30% edge.

Any Pair:
Betting that a pair of any particular number will come up pays 8:1. Believe it or not on this bet is one of the worst on the table. The house holds a 33% advantage.

Payoff
The Payoffs in Sic Bo for any bets are marked on the Sic Bo table and differ for each bet. Strategy Sic Bo is a game of chance and because of this the best strategy is to bet on the best odds and if you are going to go for one of the harder bets keep playing it and eventually it will come up.
