A store worked from Shreveport is accused of stealing money from her work place. According to the authorities, she stole 17,000 dollars and tried to pay off her debt by gambling at locals casinos. The gambling caused her to lose more money and her debts continue to grow.
The 41 years old woman, who worked at an Exxon gas station on North Market Street, raised her bosses suspicion when she missed many workdays. When checking her shifts, they found the missing money and informed the police.
The woman was released on 3,184 dollars bond. She was booked into Caddo Correctional Center on Thursday on theft charges.
