A Virginia state prosecutor is reassigned after his son is caught Gambling.

A special Virginia state appointed prosecutor who has been assigned to look into illegal gambling rings in this small coal mining town discovered that his own sun was one of the people suspected in being involved in the gambling.

The Prosecutor said he learned of his sons alleged involvement from someone being accused of operation one of these gambling operations. The suspected gambling operator is said to have tried to blackmail the prosecutor by threatening to tell about his son.

The prosecutor says he never had any intentions of charging the patrons of the gambling operations. When he confronted his son the son admitted to the gambling and said that he did it just for fun and that he only did it a few times.

When the son was asked if he was surprised when confronted by his father he said when he herd about his fathers involvement in prosecuting those involved he figured his name would come up.

The gambling probe emerged from an investigation into local election fraud.

Also Friday, Wise County Commonwealth's Attorney said he would probably take over the gambling prosecution while the special prosecutor would continue the election investigation. He said the move would not be related to the mans sons involvement.
