Police Raid Post Falls Poker Tournament

Police raided a weekly poker tournament held at a sports bar restaurant on Wednesday.

North Idaho Police raided a poker tournament last Wednesday. The poker tournament was held at Jack Sports Grill, restaurant and sports bar in Post Falls City. The tournament was a weekly tradition in the restaurant and it attracted about 70 players. No arrests were made during the raid.

The restaurant owners, Steve and Jackie Parker might be losing the sports bar and restaurant liquor license. According to Lt. Greg McLean of the Post Falls Police, they warned the restaurant owners already in November, and informed them that holding a tournament with payouts is illegal according to the state law. The police raid was a result of information they received about the restaurant continuing to hold poker tournaments with payouts.
