Poker Star Participate in WPTC

The World Poker Tour championship at Borgata Hotel Casino is facing its major competition. Poker pros are about to compete on the first prize, 2006 Cadillac Escalade and a 25,000 dollars seat at the World Poker Tour championship.

365 players participated in the last event before the big dance. Amongst the participants were well known professional poker players from around the world, including Andy Black, Carlos Mortenson, and John Gale, known as Gentleman, and Kenna James, Barry Greenstein, Allen Cunningham from the US.

Although the massive presence of poker stars, the title was won by an unfamiliar name. Tom Sipes from Pittsburgh, PA, beat all his opponents and grabbed a prize of 279,075 dollars. The runner up, Denis Etheir from Durham, N.C. went home with 153,720 in his pockets.
