The Comedy Festival announced the celebration of a Ticketmaster online poker charity auction. Participants of the Comedy Cares First Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament will have the chance to win a buy-in to play poker with celebrities, such as Ray Romano or stars of The Sopranos. The event is presented by Caesars Palace, AEG Live, The Hollywood Reporter, and PURE. Celebrities like Bill Maher, Lorraine Bracco, Vincent Curatola, Dominic Chianese, Aida Turturro, Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico, Steven Van Zandt, or Steve Schirripa, will participate. Bids start at 10.000 dollars and participants must be over 21 years old. The winner will obtain a first class plane trip for two and a 5 night stay at the Saban Villa in Acapulco. All the benefits from the auction will go to the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, which is an organization that helps save lives of American children. The Comedy Festival is sponsored by TBS and will feature more than fifty shows in three days. Films, sketch comedies, and other events will be screened at Flamingo Las Vegas and Caesars Palace. Among the performers invited we can find George Lopez, Bill Maher, Dave Chappelle, Dennis Miller, and Jon Stewart. Jerry Seinfeld will be awarded with the first annual The Comedian award.
