America Accused of Unfair Trade Practices

The WTO has accused the United States of using unfair trade practices and breaking trade agreements

Speculations and rumors of the new American law banning online gaming in the USA, being nothing more then a scam to break the backs of the overseas online casinos for the purpose of allowing the American land based casinos to take over the market once the current online giants are dead, are spreading like wildfire.

Rumors of secrete negotiations between the government and the American casinos have been popping up for months, but until recently were being ignored.

The alleged subject of these talks was the taxation of profits from the casinos and any customer’s winnings, and on a monitoring system to ensure players are offered a fair game.

It has long been thought that the United States objections to online gaming were more likely the cause of not receiving any money from the almost 7 billion dollars spent by Americans in overseas online casinos.

The World Trade Organization , a group who monitors to ensure fair trade around the globe says the new law is in breach with trade agreements agreed upon in 1994 and has ordered the US to repeal its new laws and to allow international online casinos to operate in the USA.

In response to these accusations of unfair trade practices the United States Trade Representatives called the WTO’s decision flawed and they have vowed to appeal this ruling.

The United States says that since it had already had laws about gambling in place it would not be logical that they would have signed anything that would mean they would have to break their own laws.
