How to Play Johnny 5
Johnny 5 is a card game I have recently learned and have been enjoying. The object of the game is to get a hand with a total of 5 or less.
In Johnny 5 all face cards are valued at 10 with the exception of the Ace being one and jokers are wild and can be zero.
In the game of Johnny 5 the dealer deals 5 cards to each player. Each player has to throw down at least one card before picking one up, but pairs and straights can also be tossed into the pile. A player can take the top card from the discard pile or from the unused cards. Once a Johnny 5 player has 5 points in their hand or less once it is there turn they can lay their hand down. Who ever has the lowest hand at that point wins the game.
In the game of Johnny 5 the money is paid per point. So if I have 5 points or less and lay my hand down and I have the lowest hand, I win. Let's say there is one other player and in his hand he has 15 points and you are betting1 dollar per point he now owes me 15 dollars. These points are written down and when the game is over the points are added up and the money is paid to the winners.
Johnny 5 is a fun game that can be learned in a few minutes and enjoyed for a life time.
