the Rules of Craps
Both Online Craps and the land based Casinos version is played the same with a few minor differences. When playing craps in the Casino there are4 people working at a Craps table. In the Online Craps game all 4 jobs are done by the computer. The 4 people in the Casino are the Boxman who is in charge of watching the entire table to make sure everything runs smoothly. The next 2 guys at a craps table are the dealers, whose jobs are to collect the loosing chips and pay the winners. The last person who works at a Craps table is the Stickman who is the one who gives the roller the dice.
In the Casino after everyone has placed their bets the stickman will hand the dice to the roller, and he may now make his first roll. For the roll to be valid both dice must hit the back wall of the table before they stop rolling. If the dice land on the 7 or the 11 on the rollers firs roll this is known as a natural and the shooter wins. The amount won depends on the bet placed.
If the roller should roll a 2, 3 or a 12 then the shooter has craped out and he loses, but he may continue rolling till he sevens out.
If the firs roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or a 10 then that is your box point and you need to keep rolling the dice until you roll that number again. The shooter loses if they roll a 7 before making the box point.
Regardless of where you are playing craps the best bet is to play the line and the come or the pass or don't pass. These bets offer the best chances for the win. When playing the pass line some casinos will offer double odds or even higher, a player should take advantage of these. My last piece of advice about craps is to never double up on losses and always double your be on a win.
