How to Play Blackjack
Blackjack is a fun game that is easy to learn. The object of the game is to beat the dealer with a hand of 21 or as close to is as possible without going over. They way you make a hand in Blackjack is by adding your cards together.
The dealer deals each player 2 cards. One face down and one face up and then deal 2 for him, both face down. Each player then gets a turn to take more cards or stay with the hand they have.
In the game of blackjack an ace can be a 1 or an 11 al other cards are their normal values, face cards are worth 10.
After each Blackjack player has made their hands the dealer will show both his cards. The dealer has a set of rules that dictate when he must take a card and when he may not. The dealer must take a card if his hand is 16 or under and must stay if his hand is 17 or over. Because of this the player should never stay with a hand of 17 or less.
A Blackjack player should take advantage of the double down. This is when a player doubles his bet and only takes one more card; this is an advantage for the player but should only be used if you are positive 1 more cards will give you a winning hand.
The Blackjack player also has the option to split cards. This is when the player is dealt 2 of the same cards. Then you can make 2 different hands from them and have double your chances of getting at least one winning hand.
There are many books on the subject and they are worth reading before playing for the serious money
