How to Play Baccarat
Baccarat is played on a blackjack style table and is played by 2 players. The first player is the banker. Unlike in most Casino Games the banker is not an employee of the Casino. It is the player with the most money on the table and the second is the player.
The banker deals 4 cards 2 to the player and 2 to the banker. The object o the game is to get a hand that totals 9 or as close to 9 as you can get. This may sound like blackjack with a different number, but unlike Blackjack in Baccarat you can not bust. All cards that normally are valued at 10 or more now equal 0 and if a players hand totals more then a 1 digit number the first digit is dropped so a hand of 14 would be a 4.
If on the deal a player gets a hand totaling 8 or 9 this is an automatic win and no other cards are drawn. If no one gets a hand of 8 or 9 on the deal each player may take 1 more card.
The betting on Baccarat is done by the spectators. They can bet on the player to win or the banker to win. A win pays of at 1 to 1 but is you bet on the banker and win the house takes 5% because of the statistical advantage the Baccarat banker has.
There is one other bet in Baccarat and that is the Tie if you bet on a tie and win you get 9 times you money back, but it is not a smart bet because it is very rare.
